After returning to the Grandview area, Florence helped her folks who operated a boarding house for men of the logging era. Florence also had a restaurant on West Main Street in Ashland - famous for her pasties and great food. As the years passed she worked at Webbens Walgreen Drug Store also in Downtown Ashland alongside her daughter Evelyn.
